Erasmus Student Network Serbia is a non-governmental organisation, a part of Erasmus Student Network, the biggest student association in Europe which is present in more than 40 countries. At the moment, ESN Serbia itself unites 3 sections from the largest cities in the country: Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Niš.

ESN Serbia is run by the National Board, which consists of three voluntary positions - President, Vice President, National Representative, whose work is supported by the National Communication Department, Web Project Administrator, HR Coordinator, and Research Coordinator.

The sections meet twice a year for National Assemblies (known as National Platforms), where their members meet ESNers from all over the country, share best practices, vote on new policies and the new National Board, as well as take part in workshops where they develop their soft skills.

ESN Serbia is regularly represented at the various international meetings and conferences of ESN by the National Board and/or section representatives, as well as conferences in Serbia.

Our goals are:

  • creating the environment for personal improvement based on the principle "students helping students";

  • improving the social and cultural integration of international students;

  • promoting intercultural understanding and respect for wide cultural diversity;

  • promoting students' mobility and its accessibility;

  • motivating and preparing local students for mobility and studying abroad;

  • helping students' reintegration into community after their studies abroad;

  • data collecting, analysing and evaluating quality of the mobility programmes;

  • promoting voluntary activities and active public spirit;

  • promoting sport and healthy lifestyle among international and local students;

  • providing an intercultural experience also to those students who cannot access a period abroad ("internationalisation at home").
